So you bought a digital planner, but you don’t like the cover? You can make yours and replace it directly in Goodnotes.
In this article, I’ll show you how to make a digital planner cover. If you use apps like GoodNotes, Noteshelf, or Notability. This is going to work just fine for you.
These apps offer pre-made covers that you can use for free. However, you might want to create a customized cover.
The best and easiest place to create your design is in Canva. Canva has tons of possibilities for free, and it’s unbelievably easy to use.
1. Choose a dimensions
It depends on what type of cover you need. For demonstration, I’m going to use my iPad screen 2360x1640 px.
Click on the top right corner on Create a design, and down there click Custom size.
Enter size of your planner. I have 2360x1640 px vertical.
2. Photo or Background
Canva is full of free templates, photos, or backgrounds. Now you can be creative, or pick the one you like, click it and resize everything. You can choose from Canva’s templates, or you can visit pixabay.com and find a better free photo.
Then you go to the Upload tab and upload your preferred photo into Canva.
Let’s do some old-fashioned leather style cover for example. On the right side are Photos – write leather and pick what you like. Click on the photo and resize it.
3. Add a text to the digital planner cover
Ok, we have our base, and now you can do the same thing with the text.
The Text tab is under the Photo tab.
Pick one you like, resize it.
Once you’re happy with the cover you can simply download the image as PNG, JPEG, or PDF.
4. Add a cover to your app
Once you download your cover you can import it.
I use the GoodNotes app. Open your app and your planner.
Open planner layout by clicking the four boxes on the top left corner 
Then by clicking on the small arrow under the page you can choose to delete the page or Add Page Before.
I clicked on Add Page Before and select import.
And that’s it 😊 It’s simple like that. You have your custom-made digital planner cover.
